Established in 2005, Urban Image Hairdressing has built a well-respected and trusted reputation. We pride ourselves on providing top rated service, in a laid back and friendly salon atmosphere.

Our talented team consists of some of the best hairdressers in the North East. We work seamlessly together to bring you highest quality in cut, style, colour. Each team member brings their unique, specialist skill set, to produce creative, bespoke hair designs to suit you and your lifestyle.

We are close team of stylists based in the heart of Newcastle with many years experience whose ethos is to provide cutting edge styling and colour in a relaxed and friendly environment.

The cutting and colouring skills of the whole team at Urban Image attract a wide client base who are looking for a quality high-end hair experience. We have a wide range of clients and our number of repeat visits and loyalty compared to many Newcastle hair salons is extremely high.

Skin tests for colour

We believe in fully looking after our clients’ wellbeing while they are with us, so we always insist on a skin test 48 hours before any colour is applied. Even if you have had lots of colour in the past, formulas change, and so do you. A skin test will make sure that your colour treatment with us is both beautiful and safe for you – a great combination…

Cancelling or Moving your Appointment

We will always try our best to accommodate any changes to appointments. However, we ask that all appointments are cancelled with a minimum of 24 hours or may be subject to a cancellation charge.

To get what suits you best, you can book your next one, two or even three appointments before you leave the salon

If you are not happy with your cut/colour

At Urban Image we expect all our clients to be happy with their new hair style and colour. If you feel that the service agreed has not been fully achieved we need to know as soon as possible (within 7 days) so we can help to resolve your concerns straight away.

RICHARD

Richard is the owner of Urban Image Hairdressing salon, which has had a loyal customer base since it opened in Newcastle city centre in November 2005. Richards passion is cutting! Richards career started in 1997 as an apprentice at the age of 15. He is always striving to learn more and be the best at what he does.

Clients love Richard’s ability to listen and put them at ease. Known for his perfection and attention to the smallest detail, you can soon see why Richard loves his work.

CALLY

Cally is highly skilled at both cut and colour and started with us in 2008 and with lots of years’ experience at Urban Image it’s a joy to work alongside her.

She brings to us a fresh approach to creating beautiful styles that last. A passion for precision cuts, highlights and Balayage and has built a huge portfolio of colour knowledge. She also has fabulous ideas too, to help you see the possibilities for your hair.

We are extremely proud to call Cally a friend and colleague – and you are guaranteed a great salon experience with her.

ANDREA

Richard and Andrea worked together many years ago and we are thrilled to have her part of the great team at Urban Image.

Styling hair for a broad range of clients is what Andrea loves most. An expert cutter, with a passion for her clients with a friendly but professional approach. She has been a great addition to our team since joining in 2015 following an expansive career on the North East hairdressing scene.
